I've pledged to review one pamphlet a day for the whole of December, to fundraise for the next Saboteur Awards (details here).
I've only written 4 so far, with a fifth vaguely drafted out, and I'm already finding it tough! That's not due to the poetry, I think I've had a lot of luck so far with each pamphlet being interesting in its own way. The difficulty is in avoiding repeating myself, when there's not much time to a) digest the poetry and b) re-draft the reviews to prune them of clichés and tease out some clarity.
So far my routine has been to read/potentially jot down notes in the evening, and get up early in the morning to write the review. It's not a perfect system, but it's been working out so far, let's see if I can keep it up!
